6 Feb 2023 - Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk today announced Downer was the preferred supplier to build and deliver 65 next generation trains as part of the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program. Downer will build 65 new six-car trains and associated infrastructure, creating up to 3000 jobs in construction and manufacturing across Queensland.
